INDOOR VOICE: K.C. Arena Sports & Entertainment (KCASE) Managing Partner Tyler Prochnow said that investors “have put [$5-10M] into” the group’s AFL expansion team, including signing 15 players formerly of the AFL VooDoo and making a down payment on the $16M franchise fee. The K.C. BUSINESS JOURNAL’s Mark Kind reports KCASE is “looking for more investors” to join the current eight. Prochnow also said that over 2,500 season tickets have been sold and that an announcement on the team’s name “will occur before Thanksgiving” (K.C. BUSINESS JOURNAL, 11/14 issue).
CROWDED HOUSE: The Warriors drew 16,752 for last night’s game against the Bucks, pushing the franchise’s all-time regular-season attendance total over the 20 million mark (S.F. CHRONICLE, 11/17).
