TEXAS TWO STEP: The Univ. of Texas has sold the naming rights for its baseball stadium to the University Federal Credit Union for $13.1M, which will “help finance major renovations to the 30-year-old ballpark.” The stadium will change its name to UFCU Disch-Falk Field on August 1 (SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS, 10/13)....In Ft. Worth, Andrea Ahles cites city of Arlington Finance Department documents saying that the city “completed the sale of $297.9[M] of bonds in September to fund its portion” of the new Cowboys stadium (FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 10/13).
