SILVER DOME: In St. Paul, Gordon Wittenmyer reported the Twins next season will raise most single-game ticket prices $1-4 per ticket, “with the most expensive tickets going from $38 to $41, and the Home Run Porch prices in the lower left-field area going from $17 to $18.” Ticket prices are discounted for season-ticket plans or group sales (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 9/10). The Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE reported the Twins will introduce a variable pricing structure next season “with season tickets discounted $1 to $5 from the single-game price for 72 of 81 home games” (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 9/10).
DOUBLE AGENTS: In L.A., Tony Jackson reports the MLBPA “is looking into the conduct” of agents Scott Boras and Matt Sosnick over the representation of Dodgers draft pick Luke Hochevar. Boras “originally was advising Hochevar and now is doing so again,” while Sosnick “became Hochevar’s advisor long enough on the evening” of September 2 to negotiate a $2.98M signing bonus. Hochevar “initially agreed to but never signed” that contract and “rejoined the Boras fold” the following morning (L.A. DAILY NEWS, 9/13).
