Overnight Nielsen Ratings From Weekend Sports Events

The following lists overnight Nielsen ratings from weekend sports events (THE
DAILY).
GOLF: ABC’s third-round coverage of the Women’s British Open earned a 1.1/3 overnight Nielsen rating, up 10.0% from a 1.0/3 in ’04. ABC posted a final-round overnight rating of 1.6/4, up 14.3% from last year....CBS’ third-round coverage of the PGA Tour Buick Open earned a 2.8/7 overnight Nielsen rating, even with ’04, while final-round coverage was down 14.6% to a 3.5/8 overnight rating, from a 4.1/9 last year....NBC’s third-round coverage of the U.S. Senior Open earned a 0.9/2 overnight Nielsen rating, even with ’04, while final-round coverage posted a 1.0/2 overnight rating, down 28.6% from ’04.
NOTES: ABC’s coverage of the IRL Indy 400 earned a 1.5/3 overnight Nielsen rating, up 50.0% from a 1.0/2 in ’04, and up 87.5% from a 0.8/2 in ’03....ABC’s coverage of the MLS All-Star Game garnered a 0.7/2 overnight Nielsen rating, even with overnight ratings from ’04 and ’03.
