PREMIUM BRAND: The BUSINESS JOURNAL OF MILWAUKEE’s Mark Kass reports the Brewers are “assembling a list of improvements to [Miller Park] that could include digital display panels for advertising and upgrading the main scoreboard.” Brewers Exec VP/Business Operations Rick Schlesinger said that Brewers Owner Mark Attanasio “wants to implement initiatives aimed at increasing business support and new opportunities for fans, such as possibly expanding the T.J. Friday’s restaurant, eliminating some suites and adding a martini bar.” Upgrades need to be approved by the Southeast Wisconsin Pro Baseball Park District (BUSINESS JOURNAL OF MILWAUKEE, 7/25 issue).
ROLL WITH TIDE: Talladega Superspeedway will host its first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race next year on Saturday, October 7. On Sunday, the track will also host the NASCAR Nextel Cup UAW-Ford 500, the third race in the Chase For The Nextel Cup. Meanwhile, Talladega VP & GM Rick Humphrey said lights are “not in the immediate future” for the speedway (HUNTSVILLE TIMES, 7/27).
