Al Michaels To Remain With "MNF" After Move To ESPN

Al Michaels will stay with “MNF” and the Disney family when the franchise moves from ABC to ESPN after this season, but NBC’s Dick Ebersol and ESPN’s Mark Shapiro offer conflicting accounts of how the negotiations transpired. Ebersol claims that Michaels chose a more lucrative financial deal instead of “qualitatively the best package,” a remark Shapiro says is that of a “second place” finisher.
