NBC Adds Duties To Neal, Flood As Tommy Roy Scales Back

NBC Olympics Exec VP DAVID NEAL has added the title of NBC Sports Exec Producer, while NBC Sports also promoted NASCAR on NBC & TNT and NHL Producer SAM FLOOD to Coordinating Producer. Both will also continue in their previous roles. Meanwhile, TOMMY ROY, who has been NBC Sports Exec Producer since ’93, will be relocating to Florida to spend more time with his family while continuing to produce NBC’s golf coverage (NBC). Neal said that he wants to “try to get Roy back to work for the network on events as much as possible, beyond the golf coverage.” Neal said that there “wasn’t much he would change in his new job,” but Roy said, “He will take it and run with it and go far beyond what I’ve done” (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 7/12).
