SportsBusiness Journal Seeks Staff Writer For Baseball Beat

Join Street & Smith’s Sports Business Group: SportsBusiness Journal has an opening for a writer to cover its baseball beat, as well as other secondary beat assignments. The reporter will be expected to file news on the business of baseball, major league baseball and minor league baseball, including sponsorships, media, marketing, licensing, and operations from both a national perspective and a local market perspective. The ideal candidate will have an ability to file both breaking news stories and analysis pieces while competing in a national marketplace. Adherence to deadlines, both for SportsBusiness Daily and SportsBusiness Journal, is expected. The job requires some travel; at least 5 years of business reporting is requested.
