| Bruins' Front Office Taking Across-The-Board Pay Cut |
The Bruins have “laid out a 20[%], across-the-board pay cut,” according to Scott Van Voorhis of the BOSTON HERALD. Bruins Exec VP Charlie Jacobs said the cut, which will go into effect Monday, will include himself and Bruins President Harry Sinden. Jacobs added that the decision was made “to impose a temporary pay cut rather than lay employees off.” Jacobs: “We really wanted to keep our group together, our front office team.” Bruins officials said that employees will “work three days a week and be able to use vacation time to cover a fourth” (BOSTON HERALD, 1/14). Sinden: “I hope that this situation will only be necessary for a short time period. We are also working with employees to find opportunities within related companies for part-time hours that will help ease these reductions” (AP, 1/13).
