The AP reports that Ohio State AD ANDY GEIGER “is retiring after two years of turmoil that included allegations of improper benefits by football star Maurice Clarett” (AP, 1/5)....The USTA officially announced FRANKLIN JOHNSON will begin his two-year term as Chair & President this week and will serve on the USTA’s 15-member BOD through ’06 (USTA)....Magna Global Entertainment, a division of The Interpublic Group of Companies, named SUNTA IZZICUPO Principal of Magna Global Programming. Izzicupo has been an independent consultant since leaving CBS in ’02 (Magna).
