Nielsen Ratings For '04 WGC Events Mostly Down From ‘03

This year's four World Golf Championships events saw an overall decline in ratings for the third and final rounds. The following presents '04 WGC ratings compared to '03.

TIGER: Contrary to previous trends, ratings suffered despite Tiger Woods' dominant performances in WGC events in '04 and '03. Woods has placed first in three out of the six WGC tournaments he has played in over the past two seasons, including back-to-back titles in the Accenture Match Play Championships and a first-place finish in the American Express Championships in '03. Woods did not play in the World Cup in either ’03 or ‘04 (THE DAILY).
