Something’s In The Air: Gordon To Plug Fragrance

Jeff Gordon has signed on as a spokesperson for Elizabeth Arden’s Halston Z-14 men’s and women’s fragrance, according to NASCAR SCENE. A campaign featuring Gordon’s image on Halston Z-14 boxes will debut “at the start of next season.” Elizabeth Arden is sponsoring the “Season of Speed Sweepstakes,” which runs from February-August ‘05, with the grand prize a trip to the ’06 Daytona 500 to meet Gordon. Gordon becomes at least the second NASCAR driver to endorse a fragrance, as Dale Earnhardt Jr. has a deal with Drakkar Noir (NASCAR SCENE, 11/18 issue). Previous reports cited sources who said Elizabeth Arden will spend $3M or more over the life of the three-year deal with Gordon (THE DAILY).
