Real Madrid MF David Beckham will appear in a TV spot for Pepsi where he fights Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce Knowles, according to THE SCOTSMAN’s Laura Scott. A source said the theme of the ad will be “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon meets Kill Bill, meets Hero.” The spot, in which Beckham appears for the first time with singers, will be filmed over the next couple of weeks (THE SCOTSMAN, 10/28).
BRUCE ALMIGHTY: In Akron, Brian Windhorst notes Cavaliers G LeBron James is appearing in a series of Nike spots to promote the Air Zoom Generation II shoe, where he plays basketball against “ninjas, other Kung Fu warriors and the like.” The spots are “based on a series of Kung Fu movies where James is the supposed star and the hero,” but “instead of nunchucks, he conquers all with a basketball” (AKRON BEACON JOURNAL, 10/28).
