Southern Hospitality: SEC Basketball Championship Sites

The SEC has announced sites for its men’s basketball championship from ’05 through 2012. The sites and dates are listed below (SEC).

GETTING BIG: In Columbia, Steve Wiseman reports an annual Big 12-SEC basketball event “is closer to becoming a reality.” SEC Commissioner Mike Slive said that the conferences “have agreed on the format for a two-day, 12-game event and only need to find a television network to complete the deal.” Eight games “would be televised, with the stipulation that no team would go more than two consecutive years without its game being on live television” (Columbia STATE, 10/28).
