SBJ Seeks Staff Writer At Charlotte, NC, Office

Street & Smith’s SportsBusiness Journal has an opening for a writer to cover its colleges beat. The reporter will be expected to file news on the business of college sports, including sponsorships, media, marketing and licensing. Stories about individual school athletic departments are expected along with reporting on conference and NCAA business. Additional job requirements and expectations are noted below. Hours: Full time Skills: The ideal candidate will have an ability to file both breaking news stories and analysis pieces while competing in a national marketplace. Adherence to deadlines, both daily and weekly, is expected. An ability to advance stories, and to incorporate both art and research into any news writing, also is important. The job, based in Charlotte, requires some travel. Experience: At least 3 years of business reporting is requested.
