Ameriquest Set To Put Its Name
On The Ballpark In Arlington |
The MLB Rangers have agreed to a 30-year, $75M naming-rights agreement with California-based lender Ameriquest, under which the team's ballpark will be renamed Ameriquest Field in Arlington, according to a source of T.R. Sullivan of the FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM. One key obstacle for the Rangers during negotiations "was to keep Arlington in the name," and "other issues included the selling price, the length of the contract and the ability to terminate the contract." Ameriquest, which is sponsoring MLB's All-Star Game balloting in stadiums and online, is also planning to "become a major advertiser on national TV broadcasts and hopes to further enhance sponsorships with several major league teams" (FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 5/7). Ameriquest has 17 banking sites in Texas, including seven in the Dallas area (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 5/7). Ameriquest has stadium signage deals with the Marlins, Orioles, Mets, Twins and Astros (THE DAILY).
