Cotton Bowl execs have "called for a November voter referendum they hope would lead to construction of a $600[M] domed stadium complex" for the Cowboys that would accommodate up to 100,000 fans, according to Tim Griffin of the SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS, who noted an "urgency exists for a referendum in order to be ready when the BCS is expected to add a fifth bowl to the national championship rotation." Cotton Bowl Stadium Committee Chair John Scovell said, "We have to remind ourselves the Cowboys have other options. We want to make sure that Fair Park is the best one they've got" (SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS, 3/13).
