    As questions concerning cross-ownership, finance and management have yet to be cleared up in Malcolm Glazer's bid to buy the Dodgers, Alan Casden yesterday unveiled a new nugget in his effort for the team — a downtown ballpark near Staples Center. Casden says his plan, which also includes razing Dodger Stadium in favor of new housing in Chavez Ravine, amounts to a $1B investment in the city of L.A. As Casden also says no public subsidy would be needed for the project, he seems to have the early buy-in of local officials.
