Woolf Associates Shuts Down After 30 Years Of Operation

Boston-based sports management and marketing agency WOOLF ASSOCIATES has "closed its doors," according to Liz Mullen of the SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, who notes ED ESKANDARIAN bought the firm in '96 from the family of BOB WOOLF after Woolf's death. Eskandarian told the Boston Globe that the Chapter 11 filing of Top-Flite, the agency's largest client, was one reason for the move to shut down. Woolf Associates sold its baseball practice to OCTAGON in '00, and BOBBY ORR bought the hockey division last year (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 7/7 issue).
