|Shaw Joins The NFL Network|
The NFL Network named FX Networks Senior VP/Business Operations & Finance ADAM SHAW as Senior VP/Distribution (NFL). Shaw will "establish and service carriage agreements with cable operators." He will also lead affil sales and affil relations (DAILY VARIETY, 6/5).
TRADING SPACES: DAILY VARIETY's Marc Graser reports that LISA SHOTLAND is leaving the William Morris Agency as the head of its East Coast corporate consulting division to join CAA as a branding agent. Shotland, who has brokered deals for A-B and the NFL, among others, helped found William Morris Consulting and has also repped TONY HAWK. It is "unclear whether any clients will follow Shotland to CAA" (DAILY VARIETY, 6/5).
EXECS: The ECHL Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies named DAN BELISLE as VP & GM. For the past six seasons, Belisle was with the ECHL New Orleans Brass, the past four as VP & GM, Belisle replaces MATT LOUGHRAN, who was fired Monday (Bullies)....AL BENDER, Licensing Dir for both the Spalding and Wilson sporting goods companies over the past 20 years, announced the formation of a marketing and licensing company called The Catalyst Company (TCC). The company will assist sports brands and manufacturers in launching new sports product initiatives (TCC).
TAKING ACTION: Action sports apparel company Aussie Apparel Group announced that its BOD will consist of three members, two of whom are independent. President & CEO BRUCE MACGREGOR will continue as Chair. San Diego Soccer Development Corp. Audit Committee Chair SHANE TRAVELLER and Virgin Entertainment Group Dir of Financial Planning & Analysis SCOTT BATTENBURG are the two new board members. GIGI CARRANO, who had served as Secretary, resigned from the BOD, but will continue her role as an Exec Assistant to the BOD and management team (Aussie Apparel Group).
