Roots Will Outfit U.S. Teams Through The '08 Games

The USOC on Friday announced that Roots will be the official outfitter for the U.S. Olympic team through '08. The company will provide the teams with the parade uniform as well as athletic and casual wear for the next three Olympics, and holds an option for the 2010 and 2012 Games (USOC). The SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL's Steve Woodward reports that a decision "is still under review about when to launch a sales catalog" featuring all the '04 apparel by USOC suppliers. The USOC, instead of issuing a '03 holiday catalog, "might wait to launch a sales push in the first quarter of 2004" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 5/19 issue).
