Chips & Putts: FleetBoston Re-Ups For Mass Senior Event

FleetBoston Financial has extended its title sponsorship of the Senior PGA Tour event in Concord, MA, through '08. FleetBoston, whose current deal expires in '03, has titled the event since '93 (PGA Tour). While terms of the deal were not disclosed, the SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL's Jennifer Lee cites sources who say that "most title sponsors pay" $1.5-2M for Senior Tour events (SBJ, 7/15 issue).
NBC: The SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL's Andy Bernstein reports American Century has renewed its title sponsorship of NBC's Celebrity Golf Championship for another four years. This year's event takes place this coming weekend (SBJ, 7/15 issue)....ADT Security Services has signed on as title sponsor of the Golf Skills Challenge, which features eight PGA Tour players in a two-day event on NBC. This year's event will be carried December 28-29 (NBC).
