For broadcast numbers, one ratings point = 1,055,000 homes. "COV AREA" = % of homes tuned into that program in that network's universe of subscribers.

NOTES: ABC's final-round coverage of the Canon Greater Hartford Open was up 42% against last year's 2.4/7. Saturday was up 11% from a 1.8/6....CBS' coverage of the College World Series championship game was up 67% from last year's 1.2/4 ....NBC's five-game coverage of the WNBA is averaging a 1.0/3, down 23% from last year's comparable four-game average, a 1.3/4....Sunday's coverage of the Dodge/Save Mart 350 was down 10% from last year's 5.0/13....Fox' coverage of World Bowl X was down 27% from last year's World Bowl IX, which earned a 1.1/4....Fox' MLB "Game Of The Week" is averaging a 2.6/8, up 4% from a 2.5/8.

MORE BASEBALL: The Mets are averaging a 2.9 on FSNY through 26 games, up 43% from '01 (HARTFORD COURANT, 6/28) ....FSNY's three Spanish-language Mets broadcasts have averaged a 0.72/ (52,000 HHs), and in N.Y., Andrew Marchand writes: "To put those numbers in perspective, you should know that the combined average ratings of the Islanders (0.31) and the Devils (0.18) fall significantly below the Spanish-language Met broadcasts" (N.Y.
