Will Cohen's Ego Force Kosar Out Of Role With NHL Panthers?
Published May 1, 2002
NHL Panthers Minority Owner Bernie Kosar may "soon break his ties with the team," according to Roger Brown of the Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, who writes, "Word is Panthers majority owner Alan Cohen, who has a huge ego, is miffed Kosar has drawn so much national attention as a team exec and now wants his name out front more often." Brown: "What really iced Cohen was when Hockey News magazine ... recently named Kosar one of the game's '100 Most Influential People.'" But Kosar said that he is "undecided" about his future as a minority owner. Kosar: "Things may work out, and they may not" (Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, 5/1).
