During last night's Lakers-Magic game, TNT's Mike Fratello said of the Magic possibly relocating to Tampa's Ice Palace: "The (Lightning) could move on. ... If the hockey team moves, that opens the building up. The building has suites. ... Whether or not the new ownership coming (into Orlando) wants to move it out of this area, they have talked about the new arena here but they have not gotten the support and the interest from the community they need. You do not need a vote here ... The money can be appropriated to build an arena if they so desire" (TNT, 1/30)....The Penguins opened a new Nike Team shop yesterday at Mellon Arena. Penguins apparel, along with Team USA merchandise, is available (Pittsburgh TRIBUNE-REVIEW, 1/31).
