FOOTBALL: Sources said that the Vikings fined WR Randy Moss $15,000 last month "after he verbally abused a group of corporate sponsors on a team bus in Philadelphia." Sources said that Moss "raised his voice and demanded" that the sponsors move out of the seat he wanted to sit in on the bus ride to the airport following the November 11 Vikings-Eagles game (STAR TRIBUNE, 12/13)....In Boston, Karen Guregian wrote on Patriots Owner Robert Kraft: "It seems he's learned from past mistakes, most notably with Bill Parcells. ... Kraft has resisted the temptation to meddle. He no longer vetoes his coach over draft picks and no longer imparts his wishes in the day-to-day problems. He's given [coach Bill] Belichick full and total control without so much as a hint of interference" (BOSTON HERALD, 12/12)....The Giants will honor the memory of former GM George Young, who died last Saturday, by wearing a patch with Young's initials, GBY, on their unis (N.Y. POST, 12/13)....CT's af2 expansion team will be called the Mohegan Wolves and will play at the Mohegan Sun Arena in April '02 (HARTFORD COURANT, 12/13).
