Martin Signs W/ Touchstone & ABC For Football-Based Comedy

DUANE MARTIN has inked a six-figure deal with TOUCHSTONE TELEVISION and ABC, under which Touchstone "will develop a comedy for Martin to produce and star in," according to Nellie Andreeva of the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, who noted Martin's feature credits include “ANY GIVEN SUNDAY.” The project will be based on Martin's life as a sports agent and family man. In "addition to his career as an actor and producer, Martin has enjoyed success in the sports representation business, becoming the youngest black American to own a sports agency, IMPACT SPORTS" (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 12/3). In the script, Martin's sports agency reps athletes on teams such as the Ravens and Vikings (Josef Adalian, DAILY VARIETY, 12/3).
