Amstel Light Signs Three-Year Pact With PGA Of America
Published November 15, 2001
Heineken's Amstel Light brand inked a three-year sponsorship deal with the PGA of America to become the organization's official beer. The pact provides Amstel Light with presence at all of the major PGA of America events, including the Ryder Cup, PGA Championship, Senior PGA Championship and Grand Slam of Golf. Amstel also receives rights to use PGA marks. Amstel also becomes an exclusive sponsor of the PGA of America Club Professional Championships, a series of tournaments held in each of the 41 sectors of the PGA, culminating with the Club ProFinals, which awards the top players spots in the PGA Championship. To support the partnership, Amstel Light will run a series of consumer promos and co-branded merchandising (Heineken).
