Nominations Open For The Daily's Sports Industrialist

THE SPORTS BUSINESS DAILY is now accepting nominations for our 2001 SPORTS INDUSTRIALIST OF THE YEAR award. The annual award honors a person or entity who, over the past year, has best personified our view of sports as a distinct global entertainment business. All nominees should have a clear and definable impact on the industry through creative and innovative thoughts and practices. Previous winners include NBA Commissioner David Stern ('95), Major League Soccer ('96), Fox Sports TV Group Chair David Hill ('97), Coca-Cola VP & Dir of Media and Marketing Assets Chuck Fruit and former VP & Dir of U.S. Marketing Asset Management Steven Koonin ('98), NASCAR Senior VP/Marketing Brian France ('99) and NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue ('00). The winner will be selected by the editorial staff of THE DAILY. Nominations can be made in writing, on video or in person to the editorial staff and must be received by Friday, December 14.
