Spons-o-Meter: ECHL Hoping 13 Is Lucky Number This Season

THE DAILY continues "Spons-o-Meter," a comprehensive list of the official corporate marketing partners of various leagues and governing bodies. This week: The East Coast Hockey League. The ECHL tries to establish business-to-business relationships that cater to their fans. For example, as part of its agreement with DirecTV, all ECHL season ticket holders are eligible for a free satellite dish and installation. Sponsorship deals are tailored to meet the needs of individual sponsors and can be established on a team, regional or league level. Sponsorship benefits can include: official category designation; sponsorship of a particular league award; exposure in league media, including programs and Web site; in-stadium signage and PA announcements; use of league and team marks and logos; hospitality and tickets.
