PBA Looks To Roll With New Sponsorship Sales Agency
Published October 10, 2001
The PBA has tabbed N.Y.-based Strategic Sports Group (SSG) as its sponsorship sales agency, according to THE DAILY's Terry Lefton. PBA Commissioner Ian Hamilton: "Our secret is that we get better numbers than a lot of sports on ESPN. We're going to sell ourselves as an alternative where you can own all the rights possible, and once we start getting our players and their stories out, we should do fine." Hamilton, on the selection of SSG: "We're both small fish in big ponds, so to speak, so we thought we'd get the kind of attention from them we deserve." SSG CEO Peter Stern said that exact sponsorship packages have not been formulated yet (THE DAILY).
