The Blue Note: St. Louis Hockey Fans Will Ante Up In '01-02
Published July 11, 2001
Prices for tickets to Blues games will rise 9% overall, with the "biggest increase by far coming to the 850 seats closest to the ice" at Savvis Center, according to Tom Wheatley of the ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, who noted prices for seats in those four rows the newly-named parquet section will cost $17-47 more than they did this past season. A front-row seat will cost $110, the second row $100, the third row $95 and the fourth row $90. The same seats last season cost $63 at either end and $73 on either side. Prices in the other 19,000 seats will rise by an average of 6%, or by $2.50-5. Prices for the least expensive seats, the mezzanine high ends, remain $15. Blues President Mark Sauer said that the average Blues ticket cost $38.78 last season, down from $39.37 in '99-00 and below last season's NHL average of $45.55 (POST-DISPATCH, 7/10).
