TIMES, 12/14)....A-B Group VP August Busch IV said that his company "planned to match" the $90,000 in fines Rams players are to pay the NFL for doing their Bob 'N Weave TD celebration during last Sunday's game against the Vikings (see THE DAILY, 12/13) "with a gift to charity." Busch had "offered to pick up the tab" for the players but was "discouraged by the NFL" (AP, 12/14)....Jay Leno said in addition to the Rams' fines, the NFL "fined the Chargers $40,000 for "doing a dance when they crossed the 50-yard line" ("Tonight Show," NBC, 12/14). DEALS & DOLLARS: S.D.-based Fotoball USA has signed a licensing agreement with Rawlings Sporting Goods to sell golf clubs under the Rawlings brand name. In S.D., Mike Freeman called the deal "risky," as "many smaller club makers have struck out" this year. But Fotoball Founder & CEO Michael Favish thinks that his company can "slide safely into the golf business because of the Rawlings name." Favish added that Fotoball "won't compete with Callaway and Taylor Made," as it will offer "less expensive clubs" (SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE, 12/14)....Mercedes has signed on as the title sponsor of a new marathon in Birmingham. Mercedes recently opened a plant in Vance, AL, and company spokesperson Felycia Jerald said, "Typically, we don't do a lot of sporting events.
