KPMG JOINS FIVE OTHERS AS 2001 RYDER CUP CORPORATE PARTNERS

KPMG Int'l has signed on as a corporate partner of the
2001 Ryder Cup, to be held at The De Vere Belfry in Sutton
Coldfield, England. Under the deal, KPMG will host an
exclusive golf day at the course. KPMG joins IBM, Lucent,
Pfizer, Regus and Ireland 2005 as corporate partners of the
event (KPMG). In London, David Davies reported that the six
partners will "inject" US$14.5M into the event. The figure
"represents income over the four-year spread between" U.K.-
held Ryder Cups and will "ensure the continuing
profitability of the cup" (LONDON GUARDIAN, 12/9).
