CBS SportsLine's Len Pasquarelli reported that with the
Saints winning, "look for [Owner] Tom Benson to begin
banging the drums even louder ... in his quest for a new
stadium." It is "doubtful" that the team would move, but
Benson recently met with NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue
about the "lack" of revenues in New Orleans (CBS Sportsline,
11/4)....In St. Paul, Charley Walters reported that Vikings
Owner Red McCombs is willing to "become a partner" with the
Univ. of MN on a new stadium (PIONEER PRESS, 11/5)....The
Hornets "ended the relationship" with former Charlotte City
Council member and consultant Malachi Greene, as he "had
done all he could for the team" (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 11/5).
