          THE DAILY continues our analysis of "The Body Count,"
     which estimates that more than 422 million spectators
     attended sporting events in the U.S. and Canada during the
     '99-2000 sports calendar year.  Today: Golf.

     official money events in the U.S. and Canada.  Senior PGA
     attendance numbers include the designated 38 official money
     events in the U.S. and Canada.  Futures Tour attendance
     numbers consist of 19 events.  LPGA events consist of the
     designated 35 official money events in the U.S. and Canada. 
     Canadian Pro Golf Tour attendance numbers are for 12
     official money events.  There were no figures available for
     NCAA Golf (M&W), so the numbers reflect the '98-99 Div. I
     season.  The Hooters Golf Circuit does not track attendance,
     as events are free for the public to attend.
