NAMES & FACES: GOLF WORLD reports that The Golf Channel
host Peter Kessler was "called on the carpet" by management
"for his harsh comments against" Callaway ERC II driver
endorser and The Golf Channel co-Founder Arnold Palmer on
the network's October 19 "Viewer's Forum." But Kessler will
"apparently not be disciplined." He and Palmer "made up
privately and will discuss the matter on the air" during
their annual interview in January (GOLF WORLD, 11/10 issue).
...TiVo will use company advisors Joe Montana and Ronnie
Lott in its holiday ad campaign (BRANDWEEK, 11/6 issue).
BAUER NIKE REALIGNS: Bauer Nike Hockey has realigned
some of its North American and European operations in a move
designed to put some of its management team closer to the
markets. Bauer Nike Hockey's Montreal HQ will be closed in
April and its activities will be relocated to Quebec and New
Hampshire facilities. The division's sales, marketing and
distribution center in Ontario will be relocated to a
smaller building by the end of May. Meanwhile, the European
HQs in Switzerland will move to Munich and merge with the
Germany and Austria business units (Bauer Nike).
