FACILITY NOTES

RED SOX UPDATE: Red Sox VP/Broadcasting & Technology
James Healy "estimated" last night that "it might take two
years" to have a new owner in place with the club. Red Sox
officials said that Healy's remarks are "consistent with
prior estimates" (Scott Van Voorhis, BOSTON HERALD, 10/31).
Also in Boston, Stephanie Ebbert writes that opponents of a
new Fenway Park urged the City Council to take "a strong
stance and reject the city-subsidized ballpark plan before
the Sox are sold" (BOSTON GLOBE, 10/31).
NOTES: In Toledo, Jennifer Feehan wrote that Rossford
city officials said that they have "abandoned plans" to
build a 12,000-seat arena. Instead, they will focus on
getting the "stalled amphitheater built and opened" by
summer and on repaying the project's "long list of
creditors." The arena was scheduled to be home for an AHL
team (Toledo BLADE, 10/30)....In Milwaukee, Don Walker
writes that the Packers have proposed that draft documents
"related to the redevelopment of Lambeau Field be kept
confidential" from the public and the media. Stadium
District Board Chair Mark McMullen said that the proposal
was "unacceptable" and that other members of the district
board "agreed with his position" (JOURNAL SENTINEL, 10/31).
