PINK SLIP: USOC CEO NORM BLAKE APPEARS TO BE ON THE WAY OUT

          The USOC is expected to announce today that CEO Norm
     Blake "is leaving at the request of USOC officers,"
     according to sources cited by Lynn Zinser of the CO Springs
     GAZETTE.  With the announcement set for this morning, Blake
     "was reportedly negotiating the terms of his exit Tuesday
     night with" USOC President Bill Hybl.  Zinser: "Blake's
     tumultuous nine months at the top of the USOC will end amid
     what some officials at national governing bodies say is an
     increasing unhappiness with his overhaul of the
     organization's structure and management" (GAZETTE, 10/25).
