          WHICH WAY TO THE SUBWAY? Fox' coverage of the Mets-
     Cardinals five-game NLCS averaged a 6.2/11 final national
     Nielsen rating, down 33% from last year's Yankees-Red Sox
     five-game ALCS, which drew a 9.2/16.  NBC's coverage of the
     Mariners-Yankees six-game ALCS averaged a 7.7/14 rating,
     down 32% from last year's six-game Mets-Braves NLCS, which
     produced an 11.3/21....ABC's "MNF" is averaging a 12.6/22 
     after seven games, down 6% from last year's 13.4/22....CBS'
     NFL coverage is averaging a 8.9/20, down 11% from a 10.0/23
     last year....Fox' NFL coverage is averaging a 10.3/23, down
     3% from '99's 10.6/24....ABC's college football coverage is
     averaging a 3.9/10 after twelve telecasts, down 11% from a
     4.4/12 through eleven telecasts last year....NBC's second
     weekend of Gravity Games coverage was down 13% from last
     year's 1.5/3 on the comparable weekend (THE DAILY).
