EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          Just three months after being named coach of the XFL's
     Chicago franchise, DICK BUTKUS was named XFL Dir of Football
     Competition.  CNN/SI NFL analyst RON MEYER will replace
     Butkus as coach (XFL).  Butkus, on the promotion: "This
     gives me a chance to help develop this league.  They just
     gave me a good deal.  I apologize for advancing myself"
     (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 10/19)....The Toronto Globe & Mail named
     former Sports Editor NEIL CAMPBELL as Editor of
     globeandmail.com (GLOBE & MAIL, 10/17)....The Twins promoted
     former Dir of Marketing PATRICK KLINGER to VP/Marketing and
     named ERIC CURRY as VP/Corporate Partnerships.  Curry was
     Dir of Retail Marketing for University Marketing Associates
     (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 10/17)....The WUSA's San Diego
     franchise, operated by Cox Communications, named KEVIN CROW
     as GM and VICKY LYNCH as Dir of Soccer Operations. 
     Previously, Lynch was a consultant to the WUSA headquarters
     in N.Y. (THE DAILY)....Palace Sports & Entertainment
     promoted JOE BIONDO to Supervisor of Team & Event
     Accounting; COLLEEN GALLO to Corporate Payroll Manager;
     KELLY KOZARA to Supervisor of Revenue Accounting; TRACEY
     PATERA to Supervisor of Supplier Accounting; and GARY
     SHRADER to Manager of Business Systems (THE DAILY).

NBC Olympics’ Molly Solomon, ESPN’s P.K. Subban, the Masters and more
