EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          BRANDWEEK's Terry Lefton reports that Former MLBP  exec
     DON GIBSON is leaving as COO of the National Basketball HOF
     in Springfield, MA, to start an image consulting business
     that will advise athletes and entertainers (BRANDWEEK, 10/9
     issue)....NBC Cable appointed LAUREN DONOVAN as Senior VP &
     General Counsel.  Donovan comes to CNBC from NBC Sports
     where she was VP/Negotiations (NBC Sports)...The MetroStars
     named CHRIS BRIENZA to the newly-created role of VP/Media
     Relations.  From '98-00, Brienza was VP/Sports Media
     Relations at the NBA and most recently, was a partner and
     Managing Dir for NY-based sports PR firm 1450 Media (THE
     DAILY)....The Sports Museum of New England appointed BILL
     GALATIS as Exec Dir (FleetCenter)....The Oilers named ERIC
     UPTON as Dir of Sales.  Upton spent the past 14 years with
     the CBC in sales, and served as Regional Sales Manager for
     both CBC Edmonton and Calgary (Oilers)....The Lakers named
     EUGENIA CHOW as Dir of Community Relations (Mult, 10/8).
