of FSN's "National Sports Report" led with Braves-Mets,
followed by Angels-A's. The first non-MLB report, at 7:50
into the broadcast, was the U.S. Olympic baseball team
winning the Gold in Sydney. "NSR" had 11:36 of total
Olympic coverage. Last night's 11:00pm ET 30-minute edition
of CNN/SI's "Sports Tonight" led with Angels-A's, followed
by Rangers-Mariners. The first non-MLB report, at 5:57, was
an Olympic update and "Sports Tonight" had 4:47 of total
Olympic coverage. Last night's 1:00am ET (late due to MLB)
60-minute edition of ESPN's "SportsCenter" led with Rangers-
Mariners, followed by Angels-A's. The first non-MLB report,
at 10:56, was Pacers C Rik Smits announcing his retirement.
"SportsCenter" reported on the Olympics at 24:16 and had a
total of 3:39 of total coverage (THE DAILY).
          NOTES: Sunday's Chiefs-Broncos game, with a 37.7/65
local rating, was the most-watched program in the Denver
area for the week of September 18-24 (DENVER POST, 9/28).
...The Wild's cable schedule was "re-released" with 33 games
to be aired on Midwest Sports Channel (MSC) instead of the
50 that were scheduled for FSN. In Minneapolis, John Millea
writes "the number of games was reduced because MSC, which
is in the process of being acquired by FSN, could not clear
the additional 17 games" (STAR TRIBUNE, 9/28).
