          Top Rank promoter BOB ARUM will file a suit in L.A.
     Superior Court today against UNIVISION SPORTS and CEO JERRY
     PERENCHIO, "charging both with interfering with his
     promotional contract" with OSCAR DE LA HOYA.  Arum's move
     "comes in the wake of the announcement" that De La Hoya
     hired Perenchio after breaking ties with Arum last month. 
     Arum said there is "evidence" that Perenchio has "been
     interfering in my relationship with Oscar for the last six
     years" (L.A. TIMES, 9/27)....Former NFLer RUSS FRANCIS won
     the GOP nomination for one of the two U.S. House seats in HI
     (BOSTON GLOBE, 9/26)....CBS SportsLine College Football
     Senior Writer DENNIS DODD earned first-place in the annual
     Football Writers Association of America Best Writing Contest
     for the second consecutive year (CBS SportsLine)....Lakers F
     RICK FOX, on appearing on HBO's "Oz" for the second straight
     year: "It's great to be back, although I don't know how
     excited you can be about being in prison" (PEOPLE, 10/2).   
     ...Indianapolis Motor Speedway President TONY GEORGE was
     selected as INT'L CITIZEN OF THE YEAR for 2000 by the INT'L
     CENTER OF INDIANAPOLIS (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 9/27).

NBC Olympics’ Molly Solomon, ESPN’s P.K. Subban, the Masters and more
