BOWDEN STEPS INTO PUBLISHING RING WITH NEW WEB COMPANY

A group headed by former Auburn Univ. football coach
Terry Bowden announced the formation of GA-based Digital
Sports Publishing, which will produce sports books and
magazines to be downloaded via the World Wide Web. Digital
Sports will launch first in college football, offering a
2001 preseason guide produced just prior to the first game
of the year. It will also be updated regularly throughout
the season. Bowden: "Most of the preseason magazines that
we all love to read are reported so far in advance of August
practices they are more like recaps of the previous year
than previews of the new one." Bowden added Digital Sports
"will narrow our focus to top teams." Bowden is Chair &
CEO, while partners include Atlanta marketing firm Hope-
Beckham and Writer/Editor Ben Brown (Digital Sports).
