FOR SALE SIGN: Nike Chair & CEO PHIL KNIGHT sold his
'87 personal airplane to the company for $20.5M in FY 2000,
according to a filing with the SEC. The filing also stated
that the sale came at a time Nike sold its "older aircraft
to a third party" for $9.25M. Knight makes his airplane
available free of charge to the company for business
purposes, and reimbursed Nike $109,793 in FY 2000 for
operating costs related to the aircraft (REUTERS,
8/16)....Blazers & Seahawks Owner PAUL ALLEN who has sold
about $4.2B worth of Microsoft stock since February, "plans
to sell" two million more common shares worth $140M,
according to an August 7 SEC filing (REUTERS, 8/18).
MORE NAMES: IBF Founder ROBERT W. LEE was "acquitted"
yesterday by a federal jury in Newark on charges of "taking
bribes from promoters and managers to manipulate boxers'
rankings." But Lee "was found guilty" on six of 33 felony
counts, including tax evasion, money laundering and
interstate travel in aid of racketeering. Lee's son, ROBERT
JR., who served as an aide, was acquitted on all nine
charges against him (USA TODAY, 8/18)....In Dallas, Jodie
Velarde reports that Mavericks Owner MARK CUBAN "will be
taking part" in MICHAEL JORDAN'S SENIOR FLIGHT SCHOOL (see
THE DAILY, 8/16). Cuban, on Jordan: "He'll be messing with
me. I'm sure he'll try to talk me into some trade out on
the court" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 8/18)....In Toronto, Rosie
DiManno writes, "Male lusting for [ANNA] KOURNIKOVA is
