          CART has named former Cummins Engine Company Chair & CEO
     JAMES HENDERSON to its BOD (THE DAILY)....The MLBPA named
     EVIE GOLDSTEIN to the newly created position of Licensing
     Counsel.  For the past four years, Goldstein served as
     Lifetime Television Dir of Business & Legal Affairs 
     (MLBPA)....The MLS Crew named ANDREW ARTHURS as VP/Sales &
     Marketing and promoted Assistant Ticket Manager CARRIE RUNDIO
     to Dir of Ticket Operations.  Previously, Arthurs was OH
     State Univ.'s Dir of Club Services for the athletic
     department (THE DAILY)....The Royals named FRED WHITE as Dir
     of Broadcast Services & Alumni, where he will "monitor and
     strengthen" the Royals network of affiliates (K.C. STAR,
     8/16)....Coyotes assistant coach WAYNE FLEMING has resigned
     from the club to join Hockey Canada as the new VP/Canadian
     Hockey Association (Coyotes)....The Charlotte Convention and
     Visitors Bureau hired BILL MCMILLAN as Dir of Sports. 
     McMillan will oversee sales and promotion of sports and
     tourism (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 8/16).
