EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          The USOC named REBECCA CRAWFORD, DOUG INGRAM, TERRY
     KENT, STEVE ROUSH and CHRIS VADALA to the newly created
     positions of Dir of Sport Partnerships.  They will be
     responsible for establishing and supporting performance
     partnerships with the NGBs (THE DAILY).  In CO, Paula
     Parrish reported that all five of the new Dirs will "work
     directly under" USOC Senior Managing Dir of Sports Resources
     SCOTT BLACKMUN (CO Springs GAZETTE, 7/27)....Russell Corp.
     named ERIC HOYLE as Senior VP of the company and President &
     CEO of Russell's Cross Creek Apparel division, replacing
     HANK SPIRES, who is retiring.  Also, ROBERT MARTIN joins
     Russell as Senior VP & CFO, replacing Hoyle, while CAROL
     MABE was promoted to the newly created position of President
     & COO of the Russell Athletic division (Russell).
