X-RAYS OF SURVEY REVEAL NEW LEAGUE HONING IN ON TARGET DEMOS

          In our second installment of research initially
     presented last month, THE DAILY continues to gauge awareness
     and fan interest in the XFL.  In a survey commissioned by
     THE DAILY and conducted by the ESPN Sports Poll, a product
     of TNS Intersearch, 1,010 respondents representing the U.S.
     pop. aged 12+, were asked about the XFL during the months of
     May and June.  In terms of general awareness of the XFL as
     an entity, 23.7% of 297 avid sports fans were aware that the
     XFL was either started by the WWF or was a new football
     league.  Meanwhile, 23.2% of 266 avid NFL fans, 42.8% of 113
     avid wrestling fans and 34.7% of 116 males aged 12-24, were
     aware that the XFL was either started by the WWF or was a
     new football league.  Of those not aware of the XFL, 38.6%
     of 243 avid sports fans were aware that the WWF is launching
     a new football league, while 44.3% of 217 avid NFL fans and
     41.5% of 223 wrestling fans were aware that the WWF is
     launching a new football league.  Among other data:
