ECHL GETS KEY PARTNER IN THE HOCKEY COMPANY SPONSORSHIP

          The Hockey Company has been named an Official Sponsor
     of the ECHL, and the company's flagship brands -- CCM, KOHO
     and JOFA -- as well as the Heaton and Titan brands, will
     receive exposure throughout the league via various channels. 
     The Hockey Company will receive marks and logo rights to the
     league and its 25 teams and will also have sponsorship
     opportunities at the ECHL All-Star Game and Kelly Cup
     Finals.  TV units during ESPN2's telecast of the All-Star
     Game are also part of the deal, while in-game radio spots
     and print ads in programs and league media guide are also
     included.  Meanwhile, the CCM brand gets exclusive rights to
     manufacture and market authentic and replica game and
     practice jerseys for ten ECHL teams (The Hockey Company).
